Sadly I got only little time to see this great place. It is trully a sight to see a majestic gate of the main road going to Buckingham palace. Beside this place, you can go to other attractive places around here: Big Ben, Buckingham palace, Westminster building, several monuments, etc. Recommended place to see for tourist in London.

Visited just prior to the State Funeral. The atmosphere was friendly, respectful and thoughtful. Many people there to soak in the atmosphere and leave floral tributes. We know how to deliver the big occasions however there was a small glitch with the flow of people, being told to cross the road to head to the Palace, then being told it was one way, and the road closed so you couldn't cross back again. Frustrating but these things happen and everyone dealt with it in good humour. Thanks to everyone on duty to make things easier for the general public, can't have been easy!

A historical landmark in London that serves as a ceremonial entrance from Trafalgar Square to The Mall and heading directly to the Buckingham Palace. It plays an important role during processions of different occasions. The central archway are used by the royals only.

It's a must place to visit for the tourists or just anyone who would like to enjoy the city walks in London. Personally, just visited for Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations and it was a perfect spot to enjoy to watch a Fly Pass on the day. Be aware it is usually busy on special occasions and road is now closed off for public vehicles. It is pedestrians and cyclists route only now.
